Meet Your Favorite Librarians/Teacher Resources

Picture

Joy Wohlman Boyce, Librarian

A Library is so much more than a warehouse of books and a librarian has to be more than someone who reads. I am here to make your life easier-- I can help you find needed resources, lend you materials (I even have needle and thread!), or be a listening ear. I like people being in the library! It's a great place to be.

A little about me: I have five kids, two dogs, one ancient cat, three lizards, and a ton of fish. I DO love reading, but I also love hiking, "mushroom hunting," all kinds of art, shoes, and nature. I am an English nerd (my first masters is in English) and love Philosophy. It is my dream to live as simply as possible all while having good internet access and mascara.

If you need to get in touch with me, please call 907-456-7794 ext 17546 or email joy.boyce@k12northstar.org. Also, you can request a face-to-face meeting over Zoom.

Charla Rayburn, Library Goddess.

Welcome to Lathrop Library...a large comfortable space you should definitely be taking advantage of...if you aren't already here! Do you want a good, quiet space? Come on in! I would love to meet you.

About me: My ancient, but still good BA from Emerson College is in Communication Studies/Journalism with graduate work as well from OU.

I have one husband, three sons, one dog, two cockatiels and 27 chickens.  Happiness for me is books, baking, gardening, fishing, hiking, travel, books, Ukrainian eggs, kids, a Farmers' Market business, and animals...and don't forget chocolate. And books on chocolate.

Ms. Rayburn
